Figure & Blade Study — Fujifilm FP-100C45
An outdoor character study exploring paired figures, skin, chain mail, reflective blades and natural light for the visual language of Silence & Bells. The study was also used to understand the challenges of working in a forest, including uneven terrain, limited space, changing light and the way surrounding foliage affects color, exposure and separation between the figures and the background.
Black & white study — Ilford Delta 100 4x5
A black and white character study exploring how the absence of color changes the presence of the figure. I wanted to reduce the scene to flesh, metal, expression and form, and see how monochrome film could make the character feel more severe, intimate and removed from a specific time.

Shot on instant film with flash. The loose fiber was used to test how organic material, body shape, and restraint could translate physically on film.

Early studio test for the fairy visuals in Silence & Bells, focused on lighting, atmosphere, glass, skin, and practical in-camera effects.
